Boxing Gloves Signed by Mob Wives’ Drita D’Avanzo

Calling all Mob Wives addicts! Those who are fans of the VH1 hit probably know all about Drita D’Avanzo’s involvement with Evolution Boxing. If not, we’re here to share some exciting news. Drita has donated 2 pairs of autographed boxing gloves with 100% of the proceeds benefiting the Youth Anti-Bullying Program at Evolution Boxing.

We had the opportunity to chat with President of Evolution Boxing, Anthony Pezzolanti. From reality TV to his anti-bulling message, check out our interview with Anthony.

EDO: How has your life/business changed since appearing on Mob Wives?
AP: The exposure from Mob Wives has given Evolution Boxing a whole new demographic of clients that had always been interested in boxing but finally got themselves to begin. We have also gotten a huge influx of local reality tv stars as part of our client list.

EDO: How and why did you start the anti-bullying program at Evolution Boxing?
AP: I started the program because I myself was always one of the smallest children in my class leading up to high school.  My father taught me to box when I was close to 5 years old as a way to defend myself, and I continued with it. As I got older I realized that knowing how to box not only made me a more confident person but made me realize fighting is best reserved for the ring. The program helps by building confidence in the children who need it, along with teaching potential bullies discipline and respect and why it’s important to protect those who need it rather then prey on them.

EDO: How did you start training with Drita? What’s she like while boxing?
AP: The producers of Mob Wives came to Evolution Boxing because, along with having the perfect look for the show, we are known to be the best at training all levels of boxers. We also specialize in teaching beginners very quickly. Drita was very dedicated to her training program and did much more than what was shown on camera.

EDO: What message do you want to give to kids out there who have been bullied?
AP: If you have been bullied or are being bullied, tell some one. Don’t bottle it up inside until you can’t take anymore. Evolution Boxing is a Bully Rescue Zone.
